          GUBA Awards founder and manager of Black Stars Striker Asamoah Gyan, Dentaa Amoateng has won an award as the Most Innovative African Woman In Europe at the African Woman In Europe Awards . Amoateng was up against Priscilla Musonda, an activist against sexual abuse, Justina Mutale, Founder and CEO of Positive Runaway and Lydia Kemunto Cutler, Founder and Director of Aberdeenshire Fashion Week. The prestigious awards scheme was set up to reward and acknowledge influential African women in Europe. She will officially be presented with her award at an event on June 29 at the Holiday Inn, Kensingtonton Forum, 97 Cromwell Road, London.

Nine time Grammy Award winner  International gospel musician and choir director Kirk Franklin is set to headline this year’s Adom Praiz . The annual gospel concert organized by radio station Adom FM has in the past had Ron Kenoly , Cece Winans and other award winning artistes  headlining it. The contemporary gospel musician is expected to play with a 11-man band, on a date yet to be announced by the organisers. He will be supported on the night by some local gospel artists.

Cwesi Oteng has been nominated in some five categories ahead of the July 6 African Gospel Music Awards. Other Ghanaian acts including Preachers, Micheal Oware ( OJ ), Hearty Borngreat, Paapa, Ohemaa Mercy, Helen Yawson, Sonnie Badu, Royal Priesthood and  Koda also managed nominations. Sunny FM’s Drive Time Programme and FootPrints TV, also got a nomination each, for their role in promoting gospel music.
