            Kanye West was the biggest winner at this year’s BET Hip hop awards night. Having being nominated in seventeen out of nineteen awards up for grabs , Kanye won six awards ; he wasn’t present at the event so GOOD music artist 2Chainz received the awards on his behalf. 50 Cent and Fat Joe put aside their differences for a tribute to their friend Chris Lighty.       The year 2012 gets better for Sarkodie because   he was the only African featured on the 2012 BET hip pop   Awards Cypher.   The other acts featured on the Cypher mainly US based artistes included Xzibit ,T.I,   Snoop DOgg ( or lion maybe ) ,DMX , Eve , Talib Kweli and others .      The cypher was aired   at the BET hip pop awards which took place last night (29 th September) .    Hip pop producer and artist Kanye West earned a total of 17 nominations out of 18 awards for this year's BET hip hop Awards .Most of the nominations are as a result of the collaborative album between Kanye and his " big brother " Jay Z.  2 Chains has 13 nominations with Drake trailing with 11 nominations .The award show would air on October 9th and hosted by comedian and actor Mike Epps , the fourth  consecutive  time.

He becomes the third Ghanaian after footballers Andre "dede" Ayew and Emmanuel Frimpong to have a verified twitter handle.
