  There were reports of disturbances at this year's Joy FM night with the stars whoch led to Sarkodie and R2Bees refusing to perform all because their fellow Tema based artiste Kow Kesse was disrespected by the organisers after a fight with V.I.P .  sarkodie released a song last night to tell his side of the story.  Sarkodie  lost out to DBanj in the Best African act category at this year's Music Of Black Origins (MOBO) awards which was held on Saturday 3rd November,2012 at the Echo Arena , Liverpool in the UK. Also in the same category were PSquare , Fally Ipupa , Cabo Snoop and Camp Mulla.     R&B and soul artist won the highest number of awards which is 3 followed by Plan B with 2.  Legendary musician Dionne Warwick was presented with the Lifetime  Achievement Award.                              2012 is a year Sarkodie will never forget as his hardwork over the period keeps paying off.  He won the   African Artist of the Year  at The Headies . The Headies is an event organised in Nigerian to award deserving muscians who made an impact on the music scene during the year.                                                                    

                        BET winner  Sarkodie  , Dblack and hip life group 4X4  scored  the highest number of nominations  for this year's 4STYE music video awards which is in its fourth year. The artistes are up for seven awards each this  year .       Jay Z performed at the new Barclay Center on 29 th September   as   the first of the 8 sold out shows that will take place at the new home of The Brooklyn Nets .       The year 2012 gets better for Sarkodie because   he was the only African featured on the 2012 BET hip pop   Awards Cypher.   The other acts featured on the Cypher mainly US based artistes included Xzibit ,T.I,   Snoop DOgg ( or lion maybe ) ,DMX , Eve , Talib Kweli and others .      The cypher was aired   at the BET hip pop awards which took place last night (29 th September) .
